Thornhill, Ontario

This project is on a site of approximately 4 acres (1.62 hectares) in size and is located in the City of Vaughan’s Thornhill community on New Westminister Drive. The City of Vaughan lies immediately north of the City of Toronto.

A rezoning application has been approved for the site to permit firstly, the construction of either a 6-storey seniors’ retirement and nursing home development or a 149 unit apartment building on the southern portion of the site. Secondly, the approval also permits the construction of 427 condominium units on the northern portion of the site to be housed in two towers of 19 and 22 stories, respectively. Metrontario is partners in this project called D’Or Condominiums with Fernbrook Homes and Cityzen Development Group, the builders of the project.

In the heart of the Thornhill community, this project is approximately 5 minutes from Highway 407, a main east-west corridor and is within walking distance of numerous existing restaurants, supermarkets, retail shops, schools, community facilities and public transit facilities.
